Juventus‘ 15-point deduction has been reversed, after a hearing this week. As a result, the Bianconeri have shot up to third place in the Serie A table, and they are two points behind Lazio in second place.
Appeals to overturn the bans of Fabio Paratici (now at Tottenham), Andrea Agnelli, Federico Cherubini and Maurizio Arrivabene were rejected at the hearing.
But, Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti, Assia Grazioli – Venier, Caitlin Mary Hughes, Daniela Marilungo, Francesco Roncaglio, and others have seen their appeals accepted.
Juventus have points deduction reversed; climb up to 3rd
Juventus might be set for another points deduction since another round of sentencing will start in a month. Moreover, the prosecutor will also have the opportunity to appeal the points deduction reversal within a period of 30 days.
It now remains to be seen whether the Bianconeri will be able to maintain their position in the top four with results on the pitch, and administration-wise.
Credit must be given to Max Allegri for turning their season around, after their disastrous form in the beginning. Opportunities have been given to youngsters and there has been a tweak in playing style which has helped the team bounce back.
Juventus are also in the semifinals of the Europa League, with a tie against Sevilla in the works. And they have a very good chance of ending the season with a European trophy, since the Serie A title has almost been won by Napoli.
