Juventus have successfully negotiated the signing of Kaio Jorge from Brazilian club Santos for a potential fee of €4 million.
The Italian club will pay €1.5 million to Santos up front, and will potentially pay €1.5 million more in 2022 should Juventus qualify for the Champions League. The remaining €1 million will be paid when the player makes a certain amount of appearances in a black and white shirt.
He is currently high on the list of potential loanees going out of Juventus, and the Italian club is expected to announce the arrival of the player in the next few days. Jorge will be in Italy in the coming week to finalize the deal and make the switch from one Serie A to another.
The 19-year-old departs his boyhood club with one year remaining on his current deal. He is valued at €12 million on Transfermarkt and Juventus have negotiated a decent price for his market value. He has represented Brazil at the U17 level, and is yet to make his debut for the U20s. Jorge’s most prized ability that sets him apart from his peers is his brilliant movement in the opposition box.
In the 20/21 season, the young centre-forward scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists in 28 appearances for Santos across all competitions. With numerous options ahead of him at the Allianz Stadium, it is unlikely that he will stay at the club this summer. Even if he does, he will have to be content with a rotational role at the club.
