Justin Kluivert was expected to join Fulham from Roma. But, the UK did not grant him a work permit. And as a result, the move collapsed despite the two clubs having total agreement over the terms of the transfer.

Now, in a deadline day transfer, he is set to join Valencia. The player is flying to Spain to complete the formalities for the transfer, and it has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano as well. This means that it is only a matter of time before the move is made official.

The reason behind his move to Fulham collapsing was because of the minutes played system that the UK uses. It analyses the minutes a footballer has played in the last 24 months to determine their eligibility. And for extraordinary reasons, his appearances for Nice were not taken into consideration.

So, a move to Gennaro Gattuso’s side has come to the forefront which should be confirmed soon. By the looks of things, Justin Kluivert will be joining Valencia on a straight loan with no option to buy.

Bryan Gil was expected to join Valencia from Tottenham earlier in the window. But, a return for the Spaniard now seems to be off since Kluivert will be joining the club as well.
