FIFA had already revealed the nominees for the Best awards. The prestigious Ballon d’Or award has been cancelled for this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so FIFA’s The Best Award will be the highest individual award for this year. The Best award ceremony was held on 17th December.

The nominees for the Best FIFA Men’s Coach:

  • Marcelo Bielsa (Argentina / Leeds United FC)
  • Hans-Dieter Flick (Germany / FC Bayern München)
  • Jürgen Klopp (Germany / Liverpool FC)
  • Julen Lopetegui (Spain / Sevilla FC)
  • Zinedine Zidane (France / Real Madrid CF)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been awarded the Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2020. He guided the Reds to their first Premier League title in 30 years.

The nominees for the Best FIFA Women’s Coach:

  • Lluís Cortés (Spain / FC Barcelona)
  • Rita Guarino (Italy / Juventus Women)
  • Emma Hayes (England / Chelsea FC Women)
  • Stephan Lerch (Germany / VfL Wolfsburg)
  • Hege Riise (Norway / LSK Kvinner)
  • Jean-Luc Vasseur (France / Olympique Lyonnais)
  • Sarina Wiegman (Netherlands / Dutch national team)

Netherlands international women’s team coach Sarina Wiegman won the Best FIFA Women’s Coach 2020.
