Jungkook from BTS will be launching his long-awaited documentary series, I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL, on 3rd December 2024. An extension of the globally acclaimed I AM STILL docufilm, the series will make its premiere on Disney+ at 5 PM KST. An extended version of this is embedded below, which delves into Jungkook’s experience as a soloist, detailing the making of his debut album, GOLDEN, and giving fans an up-close view of his artistry. BTS’ Jungkook Expands I AM STILL with 55 Minutes of Exclusive New Content in THE ORIGINAL

The series includes Jungkook’s entire GOLDEN Live On Stage concert footage from November 2023, including live renditions of songs like Closer to You, Yes or No, Please Don’t Change, Hate You, Short Glass of Tears, and the fan-favorite solo track Still with You. These performances, not in the original docufilm, promise to electrify fans hungry for more of Jungkook’s live artistry.

I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL also offers a glimpse into the painstaking 150-day journey leading up to the release of GOLDEN, including Jungkook’s creative process and the hard work that culminated in his first solo album. Exclusive interviews and never-seen-before footage for a rare look into the artist’s life are interspersed with moments of her historic performances in Seoul and Times Square.

I AM STILL is the sequel to the original docufilm which was released in September 2024 and went on to gross $8.18 million at the global box office, including $5.61 million in international revenue. It was shared in 114 nations, affirming Jungkook’s star power as a soloist. In 2023, Jungkook made his solo debut with GOLDEN, an album that included hits like SEVEN (ft. Latto), 3D (ft. Jack Harlow), and a remix of Standing Next to You featuring Usher. At present, he is serving in the Republic of Korea Army’s 5th Infantry Division and will fulfill his enlistment by 2025, when he will reunite with BTS for a makeup group comeback that is already highly anticipated.
