Jungkook’s I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL Docu-Series Coming to Disney+

The OTT release of BTS member Jungkook’s highly anticipated docu-series I AM STILL comes nearly three months after its theatrical run. But wait, it gets better: their next project will actually be a serial adaptation of the film called I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL.

It was then confirmed by BIGHIT Music releasing a special teaser video sparking excitement amongst fans all around the world. The series will provide glimpses into Jungkook‘s incredible music journey, particularly documenting the process behind his first solo album GOLDEN. This will debut on December 3, 2024 on Disney+.

JUNGKOOK: I AM STILL was first released globally in cinemas on September 18, 2024. The documentary, directed by Jun-Soo Park and produced by Ji-Won Yoon, provided fans with an intimate experience of Jungkook as he quickly became a worldwide pop idol. The film, replete with interviews you’ve never seen before, footage you wouldn’t dream of getting access to, and pristine quality concert performances offered insight into the growth of the artist.

Jungkook also revealed a special edited version of the documentary which screened in selected theaters from 11 October. This edition featured the original documentary as well as 20 minutes of sing-a-long videos, giving fans an interactive experience. This year also saw Jungkook finally make his solo debut, with the album GOLDEN and notable features from artists such as Latto, Jack Harlow, and Usher. Tracks such as SEVEN featuring Latto and 3D with Jack Harlow, were praised across the board.

Right now, Jungkook is serving in the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army and ARMY is counting down to his discharge date in 2025. A detailed outline of his journey was provided in the upcoming I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL, an exciting time for fans to celebrate this new transition from BTS superstar to worldwide soloist.
