Bayern Munich are in advanced negotiations with Julian Nagelsmann for a shocking return to the club a year after leaving. Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that he will not be managing the Bavarians beyond the season, which has set the stage up for the return of their former manager.
The club recently had their 11-year streak of winning the Bundesliga title broken by Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso guided the side to their first-ever league title, and did so without losing a single game, with five matches to spare. Now, Bayern Munich only have the Champions League to play for and will have to overcome Arsenal after their 2-2 draw in the first leg of the quarter finals.

The former RB Leipzig manager was sacked by Bayern Munich last year, and he has since become the manager of the German national team. The 36-year-old is in talks over a three to four year contract, but things haven’t been finalised as of yet.
Bayern director Christoph Freund is leading the negotiations with his agency, and things could be sorted out soon. But, an official announcement before the Euros might be improbable.
Nagelsmann’s Bayern were performing quite well, before Tuchel’s arrival destabilised things. The turmoil behind the scenes has continued this season as well, which is also one of the contributing factors behind the club’s underperformance.
