The latest Jude Bellingham transfer news and updates.
Real Madrid have officially confirmed the arrival of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund as their first new signing of the summer. Dortmund will receive €103 million upfront for the player with €31 million available in add-ons.
A six-year contract until 2029 had been agreed between Real Madrid and Bellingham weeks ago, and personal terms were never an issue as the player was keen on the move. The youngster will be earning between €10-12 million per season, and will be presented to the fans very soon.
Jude’s brother, Jobe Bellingham is also expected to be on the move this summer, with Sunderland interested in signing him from Birmingham City.
Jude Bellingham Real Madrid move confirmed
The Birmingham City academy graduate made the move to Dortmund aged just 17, and was their record sale. They even retired his number 22 shirt, and he went on to make his England debut the same season. Since then, he has earned 24 caps for the national team, scoring one goal so far.
This past season has seen the midfielder become one of the best performing players across the Bundesliga. He scored eight goals and provided five assists in 31 games, which went up to 14 goals and seven assists in 42 games across all competitions.
Manchester City and Liverpool were both interested in trying to sign the player. But, the appeal of playing for Real Madrid has outweighed both their offers. He will be the future of their midfield, alongside the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni and will be expected to carry on the legacy set by Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
