Juan Cuadrado has decided to sign for Inter Milan on a one-year deal after leaving Juventus as a free agent. The former Bianconeri captain was let go, following a eight-year spell. During this time, he established himself as one of the most reliable players at right wing-back, and won the Scudetto five times and the Coppa Italia four times.
However, while the deal has been fully agreed between the player and the club, Inter Milan’s ultras have asked to speak with the player ahead of his imminent transfer.
Juan Cuadrado to sign for Inter Milan as free agent
One of the main points of discussion in the meeting with Inter will be Cuadrado’s behaviour towards captain Samir Handanovic in their last meeting. The Colombian punched Handanovic and was sent off, causing a stir among the fanbase and his opponents.
The fans have remembered his actions, and could play a part in potentially cancelling a transfer if they cannot put it past them.
The veteran has made 362 Serie A appearances and even at 35, he is showing no signs of slowing down. His arrival would allow Denzel Dumfries to slot into right centre-back, while also rotating with Matteo Darmian on the right flank.
As a result, his arrival could be a very shrewd addition to the Inter Milan squad, especially after their successful season in 22/23.
