Joshua Zirkzee will officially sign for Serie A club Bologna soon. The player has arrived in the city to complete the formalities related to the move, and he will soon be announced by the club.
Bayern Munich have agreed a permanent sale for the forward – and will receive an €8 million fee for him. They have also included a 50% sell-on clause, which means they will receive half of any fee that Bologna get for the player if they sell him. Moreover, they have also included a buyback clause in his contract should they wish to sign him back in the future.
The price tag for him in the buyback clause is set at €20-25 million.
Bologna to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bayern Munich
The 21-year-old had an unsuccessful spell with Parma in Italy last season, and will be moving to the league on a permanent basis now.
Once the deal is confirmed, Bayern Munich will have surpassed €100 million in sales for the first time in their history. They have had to part ways with a number of first team players, and have managed to trim their squad significantly.
Joshua Zirkzee’s move to Bologna is similar to the deal that the club agreed for Tanguy Nianzou. The centre-back joined Sevilla permanently, but Bayern have included a 50% sell-on clause and a buyback clause in his contract as well.
