Jose Gaya has signed a new contract with Valencia that will keep him at the club until 2027. His previous deal was set to run out at the end of the season, which had put a lot of clubs on high alert.

But now, he has committed his future to Valencia and will remain their captain for the foreseeable future. The decision has been made official on their official website and social media accounts as well.

“Always, from the first moment I wanted to be here. Being able to go to another club or earn more money is not the most important thing at this point in my life. I am happy here and I believe in the project,” Jose Gaya said.

“In three years I have been able to play two finals and my ambition is to get Valencia back to where it deserves to be, to the top position.

“There have been offers, I’m not going to deny that, but it’s always been in my head to be able to continue here.

“The most important thing is to be here and continue to grow here. I think I still have a lot of room for improvement and I want to do it here.

“I think we are going to do important things these years, otherwise I would not have renewed.”
