Football’s out-of-contract stars just got a golden invite — and it’s coming straight from the desert. **Jonjo Shelvey**, now managing **Arabian Falcons FC** in Dubai, has thrown open the club’s doors to the game’s biggest free agents, promising no long-term strings, world-class facilities, and a genuine shot at rebuilding their careers under the sun.

It’s a refreshing pitch in a sport where being without a club often means months of silence. Shelvey’s message is blunt and human: *“Don’t sit on the sidelines. Come and show what you’ve got over in Dubai.”*‘

## Why This Invitation Matters Right Now

An unusually long list of Premier League and international names remain unattached this season — think Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema, Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Riyad Mahrez, and Jamie Vardy, among others. For players in that limbo, staying match-fit and visible to scouts is half the battle. Arabian Falcons FC wants to solve exactly that problem.

The club — captained by Ravel Morrison and backed by former Premier League figures Jason Puncheon and Harry Agombar — is offering daily training, competitive minutes, and full matchday footage that can be sent straight to clubs and agents. No commitment beyond what the player wants.

## What Arabian Falcons FC Is Offering

| Feature | What It Means for Free Agents |
| --- | --- |
| **Flexible terms** | Train, play, and leave anytime a new offer arrives |
| **Elite facilities** | Purpose-built training grounds, year-round warm weather |
| **Visibility** | Every match filmed and shared with clubs, agents, scouts |
| **Lifestyle** | Tax-free earnings, five-star living, short flight from Europe |
| **Leadership** | Coached and led by ex-Premier League professionals |

The timing is no accident. Arabian Falcons are riding high — a winning start to the season, a genuine promotion push in the **UAE Second Division**, a full club rebrand, and the launch of Arabian Falcons Academy, billed as the UAE’s first Premier League-standard football pathway. A behind-the-scenes documentary is also tracking the club’s rise all season long.

For context on the region’s growing football ambitions, Dubai’s rapid rise as a global sporting hub is well documented on [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai).

## The Bigger Picture

Shelvey and his leadership team aren’t just filling a squad — they’re positioning Dubai as a genuine reset zone for players stuck in contract limbo. As Sporting Director Harry Agombar put it, the goal is simple: get any free agent “playing minutes and back to full condition,” so they’re ready the moment their phone rings.
