Olympique Marseille have reached an agreement with Inter to sign Joaquin Correa on a loan deal with a buy option. The French side will pay €2 million in loan fees for the coming season, and have a €10 million buy option which will become mandatory if they qualify for the Champions League next season.
The 29-year-old has been with Inter since 2021 initially on a loan deal from Lazio before it was made permanent in 2022. But only a year later, he is leaving Inter for a new challenge where he is expected to have regular playing time.
Olympique Marseille sign Joaquin Correa from Inter Milan
Marseille have had a busy transfer window so far where they have signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Ruben Blanco, Renan Lodi, Iliman Ndiaye and Ismaila Sarr.
The club has also had to part ways with Cengiz Under, Luis Suarez, Sead Kolasinac, Dimitri Payet and Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean forward will be returning to Inter Milan from Marseille as a free agent. The deal is unrelated to the move for Joaquin Correa, who was contracted to Inter and has been loaned out as a result.
Following an impressive performance in the transfer window this summer, Marseille have built a strong squad and have a strong chance of returning to the Champions League next season.
