We Google users are very much aware of signing in through our one single google account in multiple sites and apps. It’s very much handy, secure, and we need to remember fewer IDs and passwords. Similarly, Reliance Jio releases its latest service called Jio SecureID which’s a single sign-in system. Though it’s in beta for now and limited to the Reliance employees only.
As per the authority, Jio SecureID is a very much secure technology, and interestingly in this process users password or PINs stored nowhere. They also claimed, this system is not hackable. There are two PINs for authentication. One is a four-digit PIN and the other one is a six-digit PIN for transactions of higher values.
How to get Jio SecureID ❔❓
At present, the Jio SecureID app is available for Android and iOS. But the company has plans for the JioPhone too. To avail Jio’s single sign-in facility you need to first download the Jio SecureID app. Once you open it, the app will ask you for your mobile number. If you are not a Jio user, then also you can carry the process on. The number will be used to create a JioID account.
After that, you will receive an OTP to the mobile number you provided. You need to provide that along with scans of both sides of your Aadhaar card. By combining these two, Jio makes your ID unique. Next, you have to record a 20 seconds video reading a message displayed on your screen. After the submission of the video, you are good to go.
Currently, this is only available on the Reliance Group Employee Self Service “ESS” portal. Later, it will be available for other Jio apps and common people also get the usage of it. As Facebook is the major investor in the Jio platform, we can expect to sign up on Facebook with JioID may available in the future.
