Jio partners with GameStream for 10-years!

On 12 January 2023, telecom giant Jio announced a 10-year strategic alliance with the French provider of cloud gaming solutions “Gamestream” to develop JioGames Cloud, India’s own in-house cloud gaming platform. Gamestream, a supplier of cloud gaming services, is a partner of JioGames. As a result, players will be able to enjoy console-style gaming on many devices, wherever they are and whenever they choose.

The JioGames platform is a part of Jio Platforms and provides Reliance Jio’s cloud gaming service, JioGamesCloud. The public beta is currently live. For a short time, Jio Set Top Box, Android smartphones, and some web browsers can access the JioGamesCloud for free. JioGamesCloud will benefit from Jio 5G network and contribute to the expansion of the cloud gaming industry there.

In the JioGamesCloud library, Gamestream will provide more than 100 games to players. Monthly game additions will increase. The platform offers a variety of games, from AAA classics to hyper-casual diversions, according to information provided by Jio last year.

It will be constructed using Gamestream’s technological know-how and Jio’s 5G and network infrastructure. The public beta of JioGamesCloud is currently operational. Currently, JioGamesCloud is free to use for a short while on Android smartphones, Jio Set Top Box, and a few different web browsers.
