On 12 January 2023, telecom giant Jio announced a 10-year strategic alliance with the French provider of cloud gaming solutions “Gamestream” to develop JioGames Cloud, India’s own in-house cloud gaming platform. Gamestream, a supplier of cloud gaming services, is a partner of JioGames. As a result, players will be able to enjoy console-style gaming on many devices, wherever they are and whenever they choose.

In the JioGamesCloud library, Gamestream will provide more than 100 games to players. Monthly game additions will increase. The platform offers a variety of games, from AAA classics to hyper-casual diversions, according to information provided by Jio last year.

JioGamesCloud will be a cloud gaming platform that would make console-style gaming easily available across devices. It will be constructed using Gamestream’s technological know-how and Jio’s 5G and network infrastructure. The public beta of JioGamesCloud is currently operational. Currently, JioGamesCloud is free to use for a short while on Android smartphones, Jio Set Top Box, and a few different web browsers.

According to the company, the platform will serve as a one-stop center for bringing together various gaming stakeholders, including players, game spectators, publishers, and gaming communities. JioGames can be downloaded from the Android Play store in order to access it. When JioGames was introduced last year, it represented the entry of the telecom business into the gaming industry. The business is including 50 titles in the beta version, including Shadow Tactics, Victor Vran, Grid, Flashback, The Uncertain, and more.
