Reliance Jio has the only overall 4G network in the country which seems to be growing rapidly even though its been few years since it has been established. Backed by the India’s richest man, Jio has already diversified its business but is continuously adding more and more wireless subscribers with its seamless service.

According to recent report by TRAI, Jio has again added around 44 lakh subscribers for the month of June 2020. This is incredible, considering the fact that lockdown and the pandemic still existed in the month of June.

Reliance Jio was the only operator to add subscribers whereas other operators lost subscribers:

  • Vi lost 48 Lakhs & Airtel lost 11 Lakhs subscribers
  • BSNL lost 17 Lakhs subscribers

Reliance Jio has already become the number one in terms of wireless subscribers market share, now, with more subscribers, it now has a hefty 34.82% of the market share. This is the sign of why people are loving Jio’s network because of its regular offers, reliability, and service.

Not only wireless subscribers, but Jio has also shown good growth in the Fiber business by adding 2.2 Lakh wireline subscribers as well. Although BSNL still stands strong with 41.7% of wireline market share, Jio is adding up, now with a 7.35% market share, which is likely to grow with the launch of unlimited data plans on JioFiber.
