For anyone who grew up watching TWICE rise, this one stings a little. After **21 years** at JYP Entertainment, Jihyo has announced she’s moving on. But before fans panic, the most important part of her message is this: she’s staying with TWICE.

## What Happened in TWICE?

On October 21, Jihyo shared a handwritten letter on Instagram. She explained that her journey with JYP, which started when she was just a child, has come to an end. She looked back on spending most of her life there, from childhood through her teens and into adulthood, with good days and hard ones that shaped who she is today. She also thanked everyone at JYP who supported her growth.

## Meet EMITHAUS

As the first step in her new chapter, Jihyo has founded her own company, **EMITHAUS**. She explained the name: “emit” means to express or release, and she hopes it becomes a place to freely explore possibilities she hasn’t yet discovered. She framed independence not as an ending, but as a choice about how she wants to live going forward, promising to approach every decision with more thoughtfulness and responsibility.

## Is Jihyo Leaving TWICE?

No, and she made that very clear. In her words, TWICE is an irreplaceable part of her life, and she plans to keep performing on stage with her members for many years to come. So this is a change of agency, not a change of group.

She also thanked ONCE, TWICE’s fandom, for believing in her and standing by her for the past 11 years. She promised to keep growing as an artist who lives up to their support.

## A Growing Pattern

Jihyo is the **third TWICE member** to officially leave JYP Entertainment, following Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung. Each has stepped into a new chapter while the group itself continues. Fans may see this as a sign of members seeking more creative control, though Jihyo’s letter focuses on personal growth rather than any other reasons.

Twenty-one years is a lifetime, and Jihyo’s farewell to JYP is heartfelt rather than sad. With EMITHAUS launching and TWICE still intact, the message to ONCE is simple: the best may be yet to come. Wishing her all the best on this new start.
