Jesse Lingard will be leaving Manchester United in the summer, as planned since January 2022. The player has not changed his plans, and will have several bids to consider about his next destination.
The attacking midfielder had an offer from Newcastle United in the winter transfer window. He had agreed personal terms with them for a transfer, but the deal ultimately fell through on deadline day due to the situation surrounding Mason Greenwood. Ralf Rangnick opted to keep Jesse Lingard as part of the squad until the end of the season, but barely played him in the first team.
Jesse Lingard to finally move on from Manchester United
The 29-year-old came through the Manchester United academy, and has not been able to secure a first team spot despite several chances. He had a very impressive spell on loan with West Ham United last January, and was hopeful of a return. But, the Hammers were not able to negotiate a deal for his return.
Right now, he is being considered an option by other Premier League clubs as well as AC Milan and Juventus from Serie A. He has not decided his next destination as of yet, but will certainly be moving on as a free agent.
Jesse Lingard has made 232 appearances for Manchester United in ten years. He spent several spells out on loan at Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton and Derby County before half a season with West Ham where he proved his worth.
