JBL has launched the Flip 7, an upgraded portable Bluetooth speaker with AI-enhanced sound and improved wireless capabilities. It will also be offered in a limited gift box edition, which costs 1,349 yuan ($186) with orders starting on February 24. An early-bird discount lowers the price to 1,149 yuan ($158). JBL’s AI Sound Boost algorithm tunes audio in real-time on the Flip 7 using the latest addition of AI-powered audio tuning. These include a high-performance acoustic chamber with an independent tweeter, a race-track-shaped mid-bass driver, and dual passive radiators.

This combo delivers the solid lows, mids, and highs needed for an all-inclusive sound. Designed for durability, the Flip 7 boasts an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water. The rugged fabric mesh and heavy-duty construction means it can withstand drops, heavy rain, sandstorms, and even being submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for half an hour, making it as ideal for outdoor use as it is for indoors.

It also includes support for the latest Bluetooth 5.4 standard, allowing for faster pairing times, lower latency, and better power efficiency. It also supports Auracast, which enables users to connect multiple JBL speakers for stereo sound or multiple synchronized playback for parties and group events. For wired audio fans, the Flip 7 also features a USB Type-C input and a built-in high-quality DAC chip that provides richer lossless sound when plugged into computers and compatible devices. JBL has also introduced a quick-detach carrying system with its Pushlock mechanism, making it easy to attach or remove accessories such as a wrist strap or carabiner.

A high-capacity lithium-ion polymer battery powers the Flip 7, providing up to 14 hours of playback, with an additional 2 hours when using Playtime Boost mode, which adjusts bass and disables EQ settings. It charges via USB Type-C. Measuring 182.5 x 69.5 x 71.5 mm and weighing 0.56 kg (1.23 lbs), the Flip 7 remains compact and portable. The gift box edition includes a custom package, a handbag, a red Flip 7 speaker, and a 10 cm plush mascot keychain. Meanwhile, Mechrevo has unveiled the Soul MK01 Bluetooth speaker, featuring a 52mm driver, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 1,800mAh battery.
