Jamshedpur FC are set to sign Javi Hernandez in the coming days, according to TOI’s Marcus Mergulhao. The Spanish playmaker has been without a club since leaving Bengaluru FC earlier this summer.

And now, it seems like he is set to continue in the ISL and will join the Men of Steel. Once the move is complete, Hernandez will be playing for his fifth ISL club after featuring for Odisha FC, ATK, ATK Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru.

Reports indicate that the Spaniard will sign a multi-year deal at Jamshedpur FC which will keep him at the club for at least two years.

Javi Hernandez has played 89 ISL games, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists. He has won the ISL Cup once with ATK, alongside the Durand Cup in 2022/23 with Bengaluru FC.

The 35-year-old has a wealth of experience of the playing style in India, and has been an important player whenever he has gone. His contribution to the game extends beyond goals and assists as he frequently sets up his teammates for goalscoring opportunities.

Jamshedpur FC are set to announce his arrival once they have completed the formalities to finalise his transfer.

Did Javi Hernandez play for Real Madrid?

Yes, he was part of their Castilla academy
