“I am honoured to join Jamshedpur FC. I am grateful to the club for showing trust in me and I will reciprocate this faith with all my might. I am here to win with everyone and make the fans of Jharkhand proud,” Ashutosh Mehta told JFC’s official site.

The player also addressed his ban in a video released on his official Twitter account recently. He acknowledged that the substance found in his system was morphine, and reiterated that he had consumed it unknowingly.
