Jamshedpur FC continued their winning run by earning a 3-2 NorthEast United in the ISL. Here are the three key talking points from the game.

Second half to remember

The two teams walked back into the tunnel with Jamshedpur FC leading 1-0. This was followed by a goal fest from the two teams in the remaining 45 minutes of the game. Greg Stewart put his name on the scoresheet at the hour mark to double JFC’s lead.

But, Laldanmawia Ralte and Marcelinho scored two quick goals to level things up. And suddenly, the Highlanders were right back in the game. However, Jordan Murray’s late goal helped Jamshedpur FC take all three points at the end of the game.

Jamshedpur FC are only one point away from creating history, and making it to the semi-finals of the ISL for the first time in their existence. Hyderabad FC have already qualified for the playoffs for the first time, and it seems only a matter of time before they are joined by fellow first-timers JFC.

March to the top continues

The win over NorthEast United was Jamshedpur FC’s fourth consecutive victory in the ISL. And with the three points, they are closing in on an inevitable place at the top of the table. The Men of Steel are only one point behind Hyderabad FC, and have a game in hand. By winning their last games, Jamshedpur might end up winning the title for the first time as well.
