Jamshedpur FC defeated FC Goa by a narrow 1-0 margin to take all three points in their ISL meeting. Here are the three talking points from the game.
FC Goa have only themselves to blame
The Gaurs have had the worst conversion rate this season in the ISL. They not only had more possession in this game, but also had more shots than their opponents. Four of them hit the woodwork, and a lack of clinical finishing came back to haunt them yet again. Without being able to score the necessary goals, things will continue to look bleak for FC Goa in their final games of the season.
Jamshedpur FC keep winning streak alive
Prior to this game, Jamshedpur FC had achieved successful victories in their games against NorthEast United and SC East Bengal. They now have three wins out of their last three games, although the most recent one was by a narrow margin.
Chuku claimed the winner for Jamshedpur FC, and was lucky to not be called offside. His goal helped Jamshedpur FC earn all three points and climb to second place in the table.
Table toppers soon?
Jamshedpur FC have 22 points from 12 games, and have a game in hand on the current league leaders, Hyderabad FC, who have 23 points. They have been set up to compete with Hyderabad FC and Kerala Blasters, who are looking unstoppable at the time. ATK Mohun Bagan are also not far behind, with three games in hand on the rest of the table.
