Mohun Bagan SG have been linked with former Melbourne City striker Jamie Maclaren for a transfer this summer. The Australian recently confirmed his departure from the club with an official message on his Instagram account and he has since been linked with a move to the ISL.
The Mariners are not the only side looking to bring the forward in, as another club is also trying to sign him. Mumbai City FC, Melbourne’s sister club, are also interested. Clubs from Saudi Arabia and the MLS are also keeping tabs on the situation.

The 30-year-old has reportedly been offered a 2.8 crore per year deal by Mohun Bagan SG. If he accepts, he will most likely be replacing one of Armando Sadiku or Jason Cummings. Both strikers have been linked with an exit in recent weeks, with rumours now becoming more frequent.
Sadiku is more likely to leave the club than Cummings, and in either case, the Kolkata giants will have a stacked attacking line-up to field in the new season.
Jamie Maclaren came through the Blackburn academy in England and has played for Darmstadt in Germany, Hibernian in Scotland and has been with Melbourne City since 2019. It now remains to be seen whether he will make the move to Asia with his next move.
