James Gunn Unveils Key Details for 2025 Superman Movie

Fans are buzzing about James Gunn’s Superman movie, which is releasing in July 2025. Only a few days ago we saw the first poster for the film, showing David Corenswet in the iconic role of the Man of Steel. If this is just an early look, fans of the film will have to stomach a teaser to prepare for its forthcoming first look now scheduled to release on December 19, 2024. Its poster has drawn acclaim for Corenswet’s incarnation of Superman, making the wait for the trailer all the more agonizing.

Moreover, Lex Luthor’s hatred of Superman will be evident from the outset.

Fans also speculated about whether the movie would set up future DC projects or introduce characters from other parts of the wider universe. This will not be a launchpad for other films, Gunn confirmed. Instead, the film will not do the preliminary work for other projects and, instead, will focus directly on Superman’s story.
