Bayern Munich are in the process of renewing Jamal Musiala’s contract, with the youngster’s current deal running out in 2026. A number of English clubs have registered their interest in trying to sign the Germany international this summer, such as Manchester United and City. But, Bayern are determined to block any approaches for their man.
The plan is to offer the youngster a higher salary and add-ons in line with his contributions to the team. This season, he has played 36 games across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists. Ten of those goals were scored in the Bundesliga itself.

The 21-year-old is considered the future of the club alongside the likes of Mathys Tel, Bryan Zaragoza and Aleksandar Pavlovic. And as a result, keeping him will be essential for Bayern to maintain continuum in their squad.
Musiala has been impressive right from the beginning of his career with Bayern. But, he has now started taking up more responsibility under Thomas Tuchel. The former Chelsea boss will be leaving at the end of the season, prompting the question of whether Thomas Muller will enjoy a run in the team under the new manager.
If he does, it could come at the cost of Jamal Musiala’s spot in the team. But, rotation between the two could also prevent injuries in a heavily congested calendar.
