South Australia’s Jake Weatherald is sidelined after a scary head injury at Junction Oval. The batter struck a metal hoarding while diving for a ball, leading to delayed concussion symptoms.

Matthew Gilkes has been named as the official concussion substitute. Weatherald’s return for the October 19 clash against Queensland remains uncertain as he undergoes strict medical monitoring for recovery.
