Manchester United are coming close to agreeing on a transfer for Jadon Sancho with Borussia Dortmund. The plater came mighty close to joining the Red Devils last year but the move ultimately fell through.
Dortmund were demanding a sum of around €120 million for the youngster last season, but have significantly reduced their asking price this time around. According to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, United have made a bid worth €85 million for the player.
But, Dortmund still want €95 million for their player and will try to keep on negotiating for the right price. The board have a verbal agreement with him that they will let him leave if the right bid arrives. And now that the Manchester club are putting their money forward, things could finally be shaking up.
Manchester United are trying to negotiate with the German giants by including further add-ons, but they want €95 million guaranteed.
The player has made it clear that he wants to leave the club this summer, and wants to go to Manchester United particularly. Personal terms have already been agreed between the two parties, along with the agents’ fee. And people around Sancho’s camp are confident that the deal will go through this time around.
While Sancho managed to turn things around for his club performance in 20/21, he hasn’t been very fortunate in Euro 2020. Although he is a part of the England squad, players like Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden have had a crack at the competition while he has been watching on from the bench.
