Jadon Sancho recently spoke out against the reasons Erik Ten Hag chose to drop him for the tense game against Arsenal. The Gunners won 3-1 at home, leaving United with a terrible start to the season.
Upon being asked why the player wasn’t selected in the matchday squad, Ten Hag said that there were standards that had to be maintained in training and that Sancho wasn’t up to the mark. Since his post, the winger has been excluded from the matchday squad and is not training with the team either.
Jadon Sancho could be loaned to Barcelona in January
This past weekend, Ten Hag’s side succumbed to another 3-1 loss to Brighton, adding to the tension at the club. Now, there are rumours that the former Borussia Dortmund forward could join Barcelona on loan in the January transfer window.
Erik Ten Hag recently said that he did not know if Jadon Sancho would play for Manchester United again. He has been unable to recapture his form since joining the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund, and has fallen down in the pecking order under the manager.
It remains to be seen whether United will offload him at this point, or whether they will try to reintegrate him into the squad. Barcelona’s ability to sign players has been restricted by FFP regulations, and it is unclear whether they will be able to register the former England international in the middle of the season.
