Kerala Blasters and Bengaluru FC have qualified for the 22/23 ISL Playoffs, leaving only two spots open for the rest of the teams to go through. Mumbai City FC have won the league title, while Hyderabad FC are en route to finishing second in the table.
This leaves ATK Mohun Bagan and FC Goa in contention for the last two spots, alongside Chennaiyin FC and Odisha FC. Here is what the four teams must do to qualify for the ISL Playoffs this year.
ISL Playoffs 2022/23: What are the different situations for qualification?
As things stand, ATK Mohun Bagan need at least three more points to make it to the knockout stages of the league.
Goa are currently in the top six having a game in hand over Odisha, but are currently at the same points. Odisha have a chance to break into the top six if they can claim at least four points from their last two games. Otherwise, Goa must lose their final game or draw. In the latter scenario, a win from one of the last two matches would be enough.
For Goa to successfully qualify,
1. ATK Mohun Bagan must lose or draw both games, or
2. Odisha should draw both games, or lose one, and Goa have to defeat Bengaluru FC in the concluding clash.
The ISL playoffs will begin on 2nd March once the fixtures have been fully decided.
