As reported by various sources, Kerala Blasters will be playing the opening match of the ISL 2022-23 season but this time it will not be against ATKMB. Another Kolkata club, Emami East Bengal are most likely to take their place in the inaugural match on 7th October 2022.
East Bengal are one of the most prestigious clubs of Indian football, but their fortunes have been bad in ISL since their entry two years ago. However, the EB management and their investor Emami are trying their best to build a strong core for the team this season, in order to compete for glory once again.
