Indian Super League was officially launched in 2014 as ATK beat Kerala Blasters in the final of that season to lift the first title. We are now in the 8th season of the Indian top-flight football league.

The league has now expanded to 11 teams with SC East Bengal becoming the last team to make its entry into ISL last season while Mohun Bagan merged with record champions ATK and forming ATK Mohun Bagan.
