FC Goa have added fresh legs to their engine room, confirming the signing of Spanish midfielder Alex Vallejo — a player the Gaurs have quietly tracked for some time before finally sealing the deal.

## Who is Alex Vallejo?

The 34-year-old Vallejo, born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, came through Deportivo Alavés’ youth academy before carving out a well-travelled career across Spain’s lower divisions, featuring for clubs including Mallorca, Córdoba and Fuenlabrada in the Segunda División. He later tested himself in England, spending time at Huddersfield Town in the Championship, before further stints in Cyprus and Poland. His most recent spell came with Hungarian side Diósgyőr, where he continued featuring regularly in midfield.
