When a cricket star, a quirky TVC, and India’s own operating system come together for one smartphone — you pay attention.

### What Just Launched?

On May 7, 2026, **Ai+ Smartphone** unveiled a new [television commercial](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_advertisement) for its flagship **Nova 2 Ultra**, featuring Indian cricket star **Ishan Kishan** — and the approach couldn’t be more different from the typical spec-dump smartphone ad you’re used to seeing.

The Nova 2 Ultra itself launched in April 2026 and goes on sale from **May 8, 2026 at ₹14,999**, exclusively on Flipkart and select retail stores.

### Why This TVC Is Different?

Most smartphone ads follow a predictable formula — slow-motion camera shots, benchmark comparisons, and a celebrity holding the phone. Ai+ Smartphone deliberately broke that mould.

The Nova 2 Ultra TVC places the device inside relatable, everyday moments with genuine humour and personality. Ishan Kishan’s natural screen presence — the same energy that makes him likeable on the cricket field — translates into an ad that feels authentic rather than rehearsed.

Archi Gogoi, Head of Brand, Marketing & Growth at Ai+ Smartphone, explained the thinking: the brand wanted to move away from predictable formats and create something instinctive and relatable — true to how people actually engage with technology today.

### India’s First Sovereign Operating System — What That Means

This is perhaps the most significant angle of the Nova 2 Ultra story. The device runs **NxtQuantum OS** — positioned as India’s first sovereign mobile operating system, built by NxtQuantum Shift Technologies.

In a world where smartphone operating systems are almost entirely dominated by American platforms, a Made-in-India OS built on privacy-first architecture and designed for equitable access is a genuinely bold statement. For consumers who care about data ownership and digital sovereignty, this changes the conversation entirely.

### The Brand’s Bigger Vision

Ai+ Smartphone isn’t positioning itself as just another affordable handset brand. The company is building toward a **Connected Ecosystem** — spanning AIoT products alongside smartphones — with the Nova 2 Ultra being the most complete expression of that vision to date.

At ₹14,999, if the device delivers on the promises of clean design, long battery life, and a trustworthy software experience, it could carve out a meaningful space in India’s competitive mid-range segment — especially among buyers who value the Made-in-India story.
