The iQOO Z9 flaunts a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and an impressive peak brightness of 1800 nits. On the side, the Nothing Phone 2a comes with a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED display offering similar features like a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. With a peak brightness of 1300 nits.

Performance

Both phones run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset ensuring performance for day-to-day tasks and gaming. The iQOO Z9 comes in configurations with either 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage options while the Nothing Phone 2a offers choices between 8GB or 12GB of RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Camera

When it comes to camera capabilities both devices sport dual camera setups on their sides. The iQOO Z9 features a sensor of 50MP with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) along with a depth sensor of 2MP. The Phone 2a comes equipped with a 50MP camera with OIS, and an additional 50MP ultrawide sensor providing photography options. In contrast, the iQOO Z9 features a 16MP camera for selfies whereas the Nothing Phone 2a boasts a resolution 32MP front camera.

Battery and Software

In terms of battery life, both smartphones are powered by a battery ensuring usage. However, there is a difference, in charging capabilities; the iQOO Z9 supports 44W charging while the Nothing Phone 2a offers slightly faster 45W wired charging. Both devices run on the latest Android 14 operating system. However, the iQOO Z9 comes with the Funtouch 14 custom skin, while the Nothing Phone 2a features the proprietary Nothing OS 2.5.
