iQOO Z9 5G: Key Specifications Unveiled via Geekbench Listing Ahead of Launch

According to reports, iQOO is in the process of developing a new addition to its Z-series smartphone lineup. The iQOO Z9 is a device that has recently received certifications from BIS and Bluetooth SIG, indicating its arrival. Recent details about the device have surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing specifications. Insiders had previously hinted at some aspects of the device.

The Rumored iQOO Z9

Listed on Geekbench as Vivo I2302, the iQOO Z9 is rumored to feature a motherboard codenamed k6886v1_64. It is said to be powered by a chipset with six cores running at 2GHz and another six cores at 2.80GHz likely matching the Dimensity 7200 chipset. With 8GB of RAM initially onboard more configuration options may be available upon release. Additionally, it is anticipated that the iQOO Z9 will run on Android 14 OS.

According to Geekbench results, the device achieved a score of 1,186 in single-core testing. 2,683, in core testing. Interestingly, these results differ from rumors that suggested the device would be equipped with either a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 or Dimensity 8300 chipset. It’s expected that fans will get a picture of the processor used in the iQOO Z9 as more details are revealed.

A leak, from before gave us some insights into what to expect from the iQOO Z9, such as a screen featuring a 1.5K resolution, which is a step up, from the IPS LCD screen seen on its predecessor, the iQOO Z8. The device is also rumored to boast a substantial 6,000mAh battery unit and a dual rear camera setup.

The smartphone is tentatively rumored to be launched in March, which is next month. Positioned as the successor to the iQOO Z8, which made its debut last August, more details about the iQOO Z9 are expected to surface in the coming weeks, offering a clearer picture of what consumers can expect from this highly anticipated release.
