MediaTek revealed its Dimensity 1000+ chipset a week ago and at that event, VIVO’s gaming branch iQOO announced a new 5G smartphone that will come with that chipset. Now the official Weibo account has revealed the launch date of the smartphone with some key features. The launch date is not very far as it is set on May 19. Last month the brand has released another flagship gaming smartphone iQOO Neo 3 5G with some of the best features.
The design of the device has been leaked in several renders as well as in official posters. iQOO Z1 5G will have a single punch hole display. The real image of the phone is discovered by Digital Chat Station, a well known Weibo based leakster, which shows the front display panel and a 144Hz refresh rate of the screen.
Now coming to the specifications of Z1, we get to see that the phone will come with a 144Hz display, single front camera, triple rear camera setup, MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset with dual 5G connectivity, 4500mAh battery, and a 44W fast charging tech. These informations have been revealed by iQOO Weibo official in the past few days.
Recently iQOO Weibo has also revealed the official design and the colour options for the device. The Z1 5G will be available in two different colour options similar to the iQOO Neo 3 5G. The pre-registrations for iQOO Z1 5G have already opened at some Chinese retailers, and people who will sign up now will be among the first to learn about the launch of the Z1 on May 19, Tuesday.
This device from iQOO will be a mid-range smartphone as it packs in the premium chipset for mid-range devices from MediaTek. The triple rear camera also indicates the low price margins for the device.
