iQOO has officially announced the upcoming launch of a new phone iQOO Neo 7 Pro from their Neo series in India. This news comes shortly after the release of the iQOO Neo 7, which was essentially a rebranded version of the iQOO Neo 7 SE from China.
The company has confirmed the arrival of the new Neo series phone in India, although they have not disclosed its specific name. However, rumors have been circulating that iQOO is planning to introduce the Neo 7T in India, which may actually be launched as the Neo 7 Pro. A teaser image shared by iQOO suggests the possibility of the Neo 7 Pro making its debut in the Indian market.
All About The Upcoming iQOO Neo 7 Pro!
While the exact launch date has not been revealed yet, it is expected that the phone will be available in India sometime in June. Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, shared a teaser image that subtly confirms the device’s name as “Neo 7 Pro” with red text in the background. Before the official launch event, let’s explore the speculated specifications, features, and other details of the iQOO Neo 7 Pro.
The iQOO Neo 7 Pro is anticipated to make its entry into the Indian market soon. It will likely be positioned as a premium smartphone above the Neo 7 5G model. In China, iQOO has already launched three devices in the Neo 7 series, namely the Neo 7 SE (marketed as Neo 7 5G in India), Neo 7 5G (China variant), and Neo 7 Racing Edition. It is expected that either the Neo 7 5G or the Neo 7 Racing Edition will be launched in India by iQOO later this year.
According to a recent report, the Neo 7T featuring a Snapdragon 8 series chipset is expected to arrive in India soon. It is speculated that the phone might come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. If the Neo 7T is indeed the Neo 7 Pro, it is highly likely that the Indian variant will be a rebranded version of the Neo 7 Racing Edition from China. In China, the Neo 7 Racing Edition boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports HDR10+ certification and has a 20:9 aspect ratio. It also features LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The Neo 7 Pro in India is expected to offer configurations with 8GB and 12GB of RAM, along with storage options up to 256GB. Additionally, the phone is likely to include a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. On the rear, the Neo 7 Racing Edition showcases a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera. The primary rear camera supports optical image stabilization (OIS).
Other anticipated features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and the presence of Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 for the Indian variant. While the exact launch date remains unknown at present, smartphone enthusiasts can look forward to the arrival of the iQOO Neo 7 Pro in India in the near future.
