iQOO, renowned for its expertise in the realm of smartphones, appears to be on the brink of introducing a novel tablet known as the Pad Air. The device has recently surfaced on China’s 3C certification platform.
The Upcoming iQOO Pad Air
As indicated by the certification listing, the Pad Air, identified by the model number “iPA2451,” is equipped with the capability of supporting 44W fast charging. This is substantiated by the concurrent listing of a 44W charging adapter carrying the model number V4440L0A0-CN.
Notably, the iQOO Pad Air, sharing the identical “iPA2451” model number, made a prior appearance on the list of devices supported by Google Play just last month. The intriguing aspect is that this tablet shares its codename with the previously launched Vivo Pad Air, prompting speculation about the Pad Air potentially being a rebranded version of the Vivo Pad Air.
Recalling the key specifications of the Vivo Pad Air, it boasts a spacious 11.5-inch 2.8K screen featuring a 3:2 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, and an impressive 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and a substantial 128GB of storage. Sustaining the tablet’s power is an 8500mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.
The Vivo Pad Air is compatible with the Vivo Pencil 2 stylus and offers connectivity options such as up to 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB-C (USB 3.0). Its exterior features a metal rear shell, contributing to a sleek profile with dimensions measuring 6.67mm in thickness and a weight of 530 grams. While specific details about the iQOO Pad Air remain limited, its presence in certifications strongly suggests an imminent launch. Leaks further indicate a potential debut in the second quarter of 2024, following the anticipated introduction of the Vivo Pad 3.
