iQOO had already announced that they will soon launch a new Neo series smartphone by the end of this month. Now the official news has arrived that iQOO Neo 5s will launch in China on 20th December. iQOO took to its Weibo handle to confirm that its next phone will be called the iQOO Neo 5s.
From the official poster image, we get the name of the smartphone and the front design as well. Some hints were dropped on the gaming section of the smartphone via this poster. The leaks claim that it will have a punch-hole design and the company will offer an AMOLED display as well. Some leaks are not as convincing as dual pressure-sensitive sensors for an optimized gaming experience.
The handset is likely to carry support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a high touch sampling rate. It is unclear whether the rumored Snapdragon 778G Plus powered iQOO Neo 5 SE will also debut with the iQOO Neo 5s. The handset with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
There is no word on the battery capacity of the Neo 5s, however, it is expected to carry support for 66W fast charging. It will come preinstalled with OriginOS Ocean UI-based Android 11 or 12 OS.
For selfies, the iQOO Neo5S may feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The rear-facing triple camera unit of the smartphone may feature an OIS-enabled 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary camera. The other details of the Neo5S are under the wraps.
