iQOO is really pushing forward to launch the iQOO 7 Legend series in India, which is a similar version of the iQOO 7 Legendary Edition of China. Both the smartphones seemed to be identical but iQOO India has again disappointed us with some specs alteration in the Indian version. The phone will look the same as the China version but we will get something less than the original version. We are going to discuss it all.
In case if you have forgotten all the key specifications of the iQOO 7 Legendary Edition which is designed in partnership with BMW M Motorsport and is the same model which was launched in China. It has a white back panel with stripes of the BMW M Motorsport logo and a “Fascination meets Innovation” slogan. here are all the key specs of the Chinese variant that you need to know.
- 6.62″ FHD+ 120Hz Amoled display
- Snapdragon 888
- 48+13+13MP Rear
- 16MP front camera
- 4000mAh battery
- 120W fast charging
- Origin OS 11
- 8.7mm thickness
- 209.5g weight
- Dual stereo speaker
- Dual linear motor
Now you remember the 120W charging capacity of that device. But iQOO India has toned down this charging power in the India variant by almost 50%. The Indian version of iQOO 7 Legendary Edition will support up to 66W fast charging and as per iQOO India “iQOO 7 Legend is equipped with vivo standard charger (FlashCharge adapter 20V 3.3A), and supports up to 66W.”
Other than this the official webpage of iQOO 7 Legend showcases a 120Hz Refresh Rate display, Snapdragon 888 processor, an enhanced version of UFS 3.1 storage, and an enhanced version of LPDDR5 RAM which are the same as the Chinese version of the smartphone. The company also says “120Hz mode needs to be turned on manually. Some certain applications or interfaces may be only supported by 60 Hz due to reasons like compatibility.”
Now coming to the pricing justification, the Chinese version of iQOO 7 had only two variants and the pricing goes as follows,
- 8+128GB at ¥3798 (INR 43,050)
- 12+256GB at ¥4198 (INR 47,583)
Here we can see that the base variant is priced above Rs.40,000 but the Indian variant iQOO 7 Legend has been promised by the company to launch under Rs.40,000 in India. This justifies the toned-down fast charging capacity of the device for India.
