Highest Individual Score – Chris Gayle : 175* vs Pune Warriors India (IPL 6)

Chris Gayle smashed all the Pune Warriors India bowlers around the park during this mind-boggling game in season six of IPL in 2013. Along with the support of Dilshan on the other end, Chris Gayle hammered a knock of 175 runs off 66 balls in the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore. The West Indian batsman broke the previous record of 158 by Brendon McCullum which was made during the first season of IPL.

Lowest Team Score of a team in a IPL match – Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders: 48 All Out

The destructive RCB line-up collapsed like a pack of cards in their match against KKR in 2017 following an impressive fast bowling display by the pace trio of Coulter Nile, Grandhomme and Chris Woakes. KKR bowling attack dismissed the Bangalore lineup for 49 runs in 10 overs.

Highest Innings Total by a Team -Royal Challengers Bangalore 263/5 vs Pune Warriors India

The West Indian opener Chris Gayle unleashed his wrath on the Pune Warriors bowlers and scored a total of 175 runs from 66 deliveries. Along with the Gayle storm, cameos from Dilshan and Ab De Villiers helped Virat Kohli led Rcb side to amass 263 runs. This innings during the 2013 IPL is the highest ever IPL total by a team and is yet to be broken.

Most Sixes – Chris Gayle : 367 Sixes

There was little to no doubt that Chris Gayle would be at the top holding this record. And it seems like there won’t be anyone who will overtake his record of 367 sixes soon. Owing to the fact that Ab De Villiers comes second with 245 sixes to his name and is more than a hundred sixes away before breaking the record.

Highest Partnership in an Innings- Virat Kohli & Ab De Villiers – 229*

This record goes under the names of Rcb’s superstar duo Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers. The pair smashed their respective unbeaten centuries to forge a 229* run partnership against Gujarat Lions in 2016.

Most Runs- Virat Kohli – 6076

Virat Kohli is the only batsman to have crossed the mark of 6000 runs and is hence the highest run-getter with 6076 runs to his name. The Rcb captain has always been consistent for the team in almost every season and as a result, he has an excellent average of 37.39 with a strike rate of 130.41.

Most Wickets – Lasith Malinga: 170 Wickets

Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga who was a part of Mumbai Indian for several seasons holds the record for the most number of wickets with 170 scalps. However, Amit Mishra is a close second with 167 wickets and is expected to surpass Malinga in the upcoming season.

Fastest Century – Chris Gayle 100(30) balls

Chris Gayle also broke the record for the fastest century during his knock of 175* from 66 balls against Pune Warriors India. Gayle scored 100 of just 30 deliveries and this innings still holds the record for the fastest century in IPL history. Opening for Rcb, the West Indian broke several records for this memorable innings in 2013.

Fastest Fifty – KL Rahul: 50(14 Balls)

The Punjab Kings captain and opener KL Rahul breezed through his half-century in just 14 balls against Delhi Capitals in 2018. Rahul created this history by striking with elegance unlike his partner Gayle who has demonic power-hitting capabilities.

Best Bowling Figures- Alzarri Joseph: 6-12

West Indian fast bowler Alzarri Joseph ripped apart the Sunrisers Hyderabad batting lineup and had a fairytale IPL debut for Mumbai Indians. Joseph’s 6/12 is the best bowling figure in terms of run conceded. Apart from him Sohail Tanvir and Adam Zampa have taken six wickets each but his superior economical display helps him hold the record.
