Travis Head, who came on as an impact player, and youngster Abhishek Sharma both scored 30+ runs to help the Sunrisers start their run chase strong. Sharma, in particular, scored an impressive 37 runs in only 12 balls, before being sent back to the dressing room by Deepak Chahar.

While Dube fell short of a half century in the first innings, South Africa’s Aiden Markram scored 50 runs for SRH in the second innings to spearhead their chase. It took him 36 deliveries to get to the half century before being dismissed by Moeen Ali for an LBW.

However, Heinrich Klaasen and NK Reddy were able to see the game through, finishing their run chase with two overs to spare. Reddy scored a six in the first ball of the 18th over to finish things off in style and secure two important points for his team.
