Delhi Capitals’, owned jointly by the GMR and JSW groups, were expected to be one of the most successful teams in the IPL due to the city’s status as the capital of India. However, they have failed to live up to the billing, finishing in the top four only thrice in 13 seasons.

The team’s batting lineup has the potential to score a lot of runs and create a threat for their opponents. They also have a strong spin attack, which can turn the game around for them.

The team’s regular captain, Rishabh Pant, is set to miss IPL 2023 due to injury, which could hamper their playing XI. Mitchell Marsh is an impact all-rounder, but it remains to be seen if he can deliver some overs for the team. The team may also struggle to make a place for Mustafizur Rahman in the playing XI due to the “four overseas player” rule.

In IPL 2022, the team failed to make it to the playoffs, winning seven out of 14 matches and finishing fifth in the points table.

## **Chances of Winning**

While the team have the potential to win the IPL, they need to perform consistently and overcome their weaknesses to lift the trophy. With a strong batting lineup and spin attack, they could surprise everyone and go all the way.
