The IPL Mega Auction got finished on February 13th. A few unknown players bagged huge prices and got sold to different franchises. Some of them are Harpreet Brar, Kartik Tyagi, Rajvardhan Hangargekar etc.

IPL 2022 : “Not So Popular” players who bagged big money bids in Mega Auction
Harpreet Brar
This bowler was picked by Punjab Kings for 3.8 Crores. He played 10 games in total with 7 matches in the last season in IPL 2021. He had picked 5 wickets with an average of 27.80 and scored 64 runs. Punjab Kings bought the bowler with 20 lakhs.
Kartik Tyagi
This player had joined Sunrisers Hyderabad for a price of 4 crores. He played 14 IPL matches in total and was a part of the Rajasthan Royals squad. In 2020, he played 10 wickets taking 9 wickets and in 2021 he played 4 wickets getting 4 wickets.
Aneeshwar Gautam
Aneeshwar Gautam had joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore team with a salary of 20 lakhs. Gautam had a good year career-wise in 2021. In Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Karnataka, he scored a total of 239 runs in 6 games with an average score of 79.6. He took 7 wickets with an economy of 3.89. In the challenger trophy, he scored 179 runs in 4 innings with an average of 59.3 and a personal best score of 82 not out. He is probably the youngest player of RCB.
Rajvardhan Hangargekar
This player had an amazing performance in the U-19 World Cup and he finally got sold to Chennai Super Kings with a salary cap of 1.5 Crores. For his home state Maharashtra, he has already played 5 List A games alongside two T20 matches. In the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, he took 19 wickets in 8 matches and scored 216 runs with his best score of 93 not out.
Tilak Verma
Tilak Verma represented India in U19 World Cup in 2020 and was the highest run-getter in both Vinoo Mankad Trophy and National U19. It’s expected that he will get a good number of opportunities to prove himself in the IPL 2022.
