Last Tuesday, BCCI had said the two franchises about a stipulated amount of 33 crores that they can spend on the three players. One of the players can be uncapped and the other one may be an international player.

BCCI had set the slabs for the three players salaries.

After consultation with the Indian Board, BCCI gave the two teams a time of 10 days. The January 22 deadline will give the BCCI some time to give a second thought about the rescheduling of the IPL Mega Auction dates which are currently on February 12 and 13.

Salary Slabs for the top three picks

  • Total Amount: Rs 33 Crore
  • Player 1: Rs 15 Crore
  • Player 2: Rs 11 Crore
  • Player 3: Rs 7 Crore
  • Fees of an uncapped player: Rs 4 crore
  • If two capped players are picked, their salaries will be 14 Crore and 11 crore respectively.
