IPL 2021 Live Broadcast: Star Sports’ Massive Broadcast Ambitions include Eight Languages and Seven channels, with the IPL Airing in 125 Countries

The second phase of the IPL 2021 in the UAE begins on September 19, 2021, with a spectacular match between CSK and MI. On 17 stations, the official broadcaster Star Sports will broadcast the league in eight languages: Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam. Aside from that, the IPL 2021 Phase 2 will be broadcast LIVE on Disney+ Hotstar. IPL 2021 from UAE will be broadcast in 125 countries in addition to the host broadcaster.

For the cash-rich league, the broadcaster also plans to improve the broadcast experience for IPL viewers. On September 19th in Dubai, the IPL will kick off with a blockbuster match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

Head of Sports for Star & Disney, Sanjog Gupta declared that “Star and Disney India is also committed to continuing delivering the most engaging and immersive broadcast of the tournament across TV and digital platforms. Multiple regional feeds, world-class presentation, enhanced viewing experiences, and technology innovations will delight millions of viewers.”

Star Sports 1 Hindi HD and SD networks, as well as Star Sports First, have confirmed a live Hindi broadcast. Live English broadcast — All other Star Sports paid channels will have an English broadcast.

For other languages: –

  • Tamil: Star Sports Tamil (all match days) and Vijay Super SD (all Sundays) for live games.
  • Telugu: Star Sports Telugu (all match days); Maa Movies SD and HD (all Sundays) for tournament broadcasts.
  • Kannada: Star Sports Kannada (all match days) and Star Suvarna SD and HD (all Sundays) for live games.
  • Bengali: Jalsha Movies SD and HD live matches on all Sundays; and Star Sports Bangla (all match days).
  • Marathi: On all Sundays, Star Pravah broadcasts live matches in SD and HD.
  • Malayalam: On all Sundays, Asianet Plus SD broadcasts live matches in Malayalam.

All of the action from IPL 2021 will be broadcast and live-streamed on Disney+ Hotstar, Star’s video-on-demand channel. However, IPL Fans will have to subscribe to the platform on an annual or monthly basis. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sky Sports will broadcast the IPL 2021 Live. In addition to Sky Sports, IPL 2021 will be broadcast on Hotstar in the United Kingdom. However, we are unable to confirm whether Disney HotStar will proceed with its ambitions to live stream the IPL 2021 in the United Kingdom.

Willow TV will broadcast live coverage of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) in the United States. Willow TV will broadcast IPL 2021 in Canada for cricket fans. Star India has agreed to live broadcast IPL 2021 in South Africa with leading South African broadcaster SuperSport.

In North Africa and the Middle East, BeIN Sports will broadcast the IPL 2021. The region’s leading football broadcaster will now broadcast the year’s biggest cricket tournament over its full network in the Middle East and North Africa.

YuppTV, a South Asian Over-The-Top (OTT) service, has obtained the region’s digital media rights to the Indian Premier League 2021. YuppTV will broadcast the IPL 2021 live across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Singapore, as well as Europe (excluding the United Kingdom and Ireland) and South America.

In the Australian region, Fox Sports has won the rights to broadcast the IPL 2021 LIVE. In addition to Fox Sports, the Over-the-Top platform Kayo Sports will broadcast IPL 2021 live in the region.

The Indian Premier League 2021 will not be broadcast live in Pakistan. Aside from that, Star India has entered into contractual agreements with local broadcasters in Afghanistan and Bangladesh, which are part of the Indian Subcontinent.
