The IPL 2020 eliminator will feature a heated clash as Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad. As the name suggests, the loser of the match will be eliminated from the tournament. The stakes are therefore high.

Interestingly, RCB started the season extremely consistently, however, lost their way as they’re coming off four consecutive defeats. SRH, on the other hand, struggled earlier but found momentum at the right time and are coming off three consecutive wins.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB has one of the most stable combinations of all teams this season as well. However, they’ll have to improve their strike rate especially in the earlier overs and make use of the powerplay. AB de Villers has been in great form and has been scoring really important runs.

Virat Kohli’s poor form will also be a concern for RCB. Also, their pace bowling has failed to achieve some consistency. The injury of Navdeep Saini and now even Chris Morris can be a serious issue for them. They’ve tried Dale Steyn and Isuru Udana but have turned out to be extremely expensive.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH would be extremely proud of their win over the Delhi Capitals. Skipper Warner scored a brilliant fifty and Wriddhiman Saha justified his selection over Johnny Bairstow by scoring two back to back fifties.

Their lower middle-order namely Samad and Priyam Garg should take responsibility as well. Their lack of form puts unnecessary pressure on David Warner, Manish Pandey, and Vijay Shankar.

Their bowling, however, has been great. Jason Holder has been a breath of fresh air for them. Rashid Khan has been picking up timely wickets. Sandeep Sharma and Natarajan have been doing their respective roles.

Fantasy XI team

DAVID WARNER (10.5) (C) – David Warner has been in phenomenal form and has been consistent as well. He’ll be our captain.

SANDEEP SHARMA (8.5) (VC) – Sharma has been in good form and has been consistently among wickets. He’ll be our vice-captain.

AB DE VILLIERS (10) – AB de Villiers has been extremely consistent with this IPL. He’s at a cusp of a big inning.

DEVDUTT PADIKKAL (9.5) – Youngster Padikkal has impressed everyone with his batting this year. He has been extremely consistent.

MANISH PANDEY (9) – Pandey has been fairly consistent this season. However, he’ll have to take more responsibility.

WRIDDHIMAN SAHA (8.5) – Saha has scored three consecutive fifties and he’s one of the prime reasons behind SRH being qualified for the playoffs.

JOSH PHILLIPE (8) – Phillipe has been in decent form since the last two innings. He has justified his selection over Aaron Finch.

JASON HOLDER (8.5) – Holder picked up wickets consistently and can bat a bit as well.

RASHID KHAN (9.5) – Rashid Khan has always been among wickets. He bowled one of the most impressive spells in the history of IPL taking 3 wickets and conceding only seven runs in his four overs.

YUZVENDRA CHAHAL (9) – Chahal has been great in this IPL and has been picking wickets at regular intervals.

MOHAMMED SIRAJ (8.5) – Siraj has been in form and can pick wickets with the new ball.

PREDICTION

Momentum has always shown to play a huge factor especially in T20 cricket where consistency is considered to be a key factor. Sunrisers Hyderabad will therefore defeat the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
