The Super Saturday will kick off with an interesting Royal derby as Rajasthan Royals will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB is coming off a nail-biting loss against the Kings XI Punjab. Though they performed well, some tactical errors cost them the match.
Royals, on the other hand, are coming off a disappointing defeat against the Delhi Capitals.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB won the toss and chose to bat first against KXIP. They started just as planned as Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch gave them excellent starts with Virat Kohli playing the anchor. However, they sent Washington Sundar at 4 and Shivam Dubey at 5. The move came as a surprise as AB de Villiers was coming off a phenomenal 73 off just 33 balls in their last match. This move probably cost them the match.
Rajasthan Royals
Royals seem to have found some stability after the addition of Ben Stokes. However, they would be unhappy with the way they lost their last match. Veteran and senior players, especially their top-order namely Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Robin Uthappa will have to perform. Royals will have to win five of their six remaining matches to solidify a spot at the playoffs.
Fantasy XI League
VIRAT KOHLI (10.5) – Kohli is back in form and that’s bad news for bowlers! He’s always an inning away from gaining confidence.
JOFRA ARCHER (9) – Archer looked in great rhythm in his last match. He bowled well and picked up three wickets each in his last two matches. He’ll be our vice-captain.
JOS BUTTLER (10) – Buttler started off rusty but scored a phenomenal 70 off just 44 balls against a top-quality MI bowling lineup. He has been getting decent starts since as well.
AB DE VILLIERS (10) (VC) – AB de Villiers has been fairly consistent with this IPL. He’s scored a phenomenal 73 off just 33 balls against KKR.
DEVDUTT PADIKKAL (8.5) – Youngster Padikkal has impressed everyone with his batting this year. He has been extremely consistent.
BEN STOKES (9.5) – Stokes is probably one of the best all-rounders in the world. He can efficiently contribute to all three departments.
RIYAN PARAG (8) – Parag has looked great in this IPL. He has always assisted Rahul Tewatia, Mahipal Lomror, and Robin Uthappa to build partnerships in the lower middle-order.
CHRIS MORRIS (9) – Morris has looked great so far picking five wickets in the three matches he played. He contributed handsomely with the bat as well.
WASHINGTON SUNDAR (8.5) – Sundar probably has one of the lowest economy rates in the history of the IPL. However, he hs backed that up by picking up wickets as well. Also, he can prove really handy with the bat.
YUZVENDRA CHAHAL (9) – Chahal has developed into a phenomenal and intelligent limited over spinner.
KARTIK TYAGI (8) – The U-19 fame impressed everyone with his speed. He has a good short ball as well with which he took the wicket of Quinton De Kock in his IPL debut.
PREDICTION
The Dubai pitch is already known for being slow and will be even slower as it is an afternoon game. That being said, the side with a balanced batting unit and a diverse bowling unit will prevail. Royal Challengers Bangalore will therefore defeat the Rajasthan Royals.
