The iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will maintain a bigger frame however, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, are rumored to maintain the same proportions as the current iPhone 15 series. It is predicted that the iPhone 16 would weigh 173g, just 2g higher than its predecessor. The iPhone 16 Plus will have a weight of about 203g. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus both have displays that are the same size as its forerunners at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.
Not everything is still the same, though. According to rumors, the iPhone 16 series will include a vertically arranged, redesigned camera hump that is reminiscent of the iPhone 12. The new “Capture Button,” a capacitive button that is anticipated to improve the phone’s usefulness, is another area of difference.
Apple appears to be sticking with its current strategy regarding materials. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will continue to have matte back glass and the same kind of aluminum as the iPhone 15 series.
The iPhone 16 series Pro models are when things really start to get interesting. The displays on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will both be bigger.
- 6.27-inch display on the iPhone 16 Pro, up from 6.1 inches
- 6.85-inch display on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, up from 6.7 inches.
Similar to the standard models, the Pro variants will continue to use Grade 5 Titanium as their chosen material. Both Pro variants are anticipated to come with a brand-new capacitive “Capture Button,” which is in line with the phone’s emphasis on better photographic skills.
Although the material is still early, it offers us a useful glimpse into what Apple may have in store for its upcoming iPhone models. Internally known as “Project Atlas” and “Project Nova,” Apple appears to be developing capacitive buttons that may pave the way for a future button- and port-free iPhone.
Apple’s alleged Tetraprism 5x optical zoom camera kit may require the higher display sizes, especially for the Pro models. This would require extra interior room, which justifies the size increase.
